Products: Sicurlam lifeline designed for trapezoidal sheet
CUSTOMER NEEDS:
- Securing the metal roof in compliance with safety and health requirements. A large amount of insulated areas on the roof caused a widespread difference in heights, pushing Sicurpal to find an effective solution both to ensure the waterproofing and to set the lifeline height as required by the customer.
- Being a food company, AIA must meet all the food safety and hygiene regulations. Therefore Sicurpal was asked to find a solution that did not interfere with the daily production process.
- The large number of machines inside the facility requires frequent maintenance: AIA needed a highly user-friendly and yet safe system that could be easily used by all workers.
OUR SOLUTION: Sicurlam installed without damaging the waterproofing
- Sicurlam anchor plate is made of Stainless Steel and complies with the standard EN 795 Type C. This device was specifically developed for metal roofings and bonds directly to any metal sheet with no need to drill or cut it: for this reason it is the ideal solution to get rid of any risk of seepage.
- Our in-house team of installers mounted the lifeline following a special procedure not to damage the insulating membrane:
- Opening the insulating and waterproofing layer;
- Fixing the anchor to the metal support structure, under the insulating layer;
- Installing a cubic metal support to the plate in order to increase the height of the anchor device;
- Insulating the plate with concrete and other building insulation materials;
- Laying a new waterfproofing layer;
- Fixing the support for the lifeline right on the cubic support.
- Noticing the worn-out layer of roof sheathing, our installers overlaid it with a new ply, in order to ensure the best waterproofing for the roof as well as facilitating future refurbishment.
